I like this article a lot! Previous life experiences in any kind of sales will make one a better listener/negotiator/problem solver/etc. It's interesting to think that it's not really about the product itself but rather how it is sold/who it's sold by. Reminds me of waiting tables and connecting with the customer on any level before they even think about ordering, always makes the "sale" of food and beverage easier and usually more profitable! Also learning new things about your dads upbringing is always fun too! Thanks for sharing, another great read pops!

Some people are just born with it! You definitely are Phil. The desire to connect with people , find a need and fill it, and really explore your entrepreneurial spirit! I think those of us that grew up helping out in our parents business, and really using that experience to help us develop our own business sense was a real gift. You did such an amazing job at writing this article and it allowed for me to create a visual of the whole thing. Wish I had been around to buy a shirt from you.! You would've sold me😂

Really fun read. I think you’re talking about the mid 70’s when a $100 plus a day cash was great spending money. Nothing about this article surprises me about you because you are a people person and a sincerely honest man. Everyone wants to buy some thing from somebody they like and feel they can trust. Cheers to another great story!! Keep them coming. I want more of your dad’s restaurant experiences.

Love the story, Phil I haven’t heard that about you and all the reason why you’re a great friend, inspirational, you would’ve made a great Realtor :-)

Wonderful article Phil. Great insight on your journey and your discoveries along the way. Adapting to your surroundings to make the best path choices given your tasks at hand , is something that your upbringing definitely taught you well. Knowing how to listen and choosing your responses wisely is a trait not everyone can claim. Thanks!

Brilliant Papa Phil. I enjoyed reading about the path you followed. Change is inevitable but to get to a goal you sometimes need to do something uncomfortable. As we move from T-shirts to banking services to tech we are always striving to move forward. And even though you’ve done everything “right”, life won’t always make sense. As a result, we need to cultivate thankfulness, and as you say, have Trust. Especially important is this lesson for Stock Talk!
